About Me

With 20 years of experience in child welfare and juvenile justice, I am dedicated to helping families heal and grow, no matter their structure or circumstances. As a parent of eight children, some of whom have faced trauma, I understand the challenges caregivers encounter and the impact of adversity on a child's development. Through my work as a TBRI Practitioner, I strive to bring hope and transformative change to families, schools, and agencies, ensuring that children can heal and thrive.

Beyond my professional experience, I am also a parent of eight children. I have walked the same path as many of you, facing moments of uncertainty, isolation, and the search for answers. Each of my children is unique, possessing their own special qualities. Some have experienced trauma and adversity that have shaped their journeys. Not every day has been perfect, and I am still learning. However, through this journey, I have come to understand how trauma impacts a child’s development—socially, behaviorally, cognitively, and physically.

For the past 20 years, I have worked with children and families in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. While both systems present significant challenges, I believe deeply in the potential for hope and healing within family structures. Families come in many forms—some children are raised in traditional households, while others are cared for by grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other relatives. Some are supported by foster or adoptive parents, and others by community members who recognize their potential. My approach is to meet families where they are today and work collaboratively toward a brighter future. Together, we can implement strategies that foster growth, stability, and healing.

Through learning, research, and becoming a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, I have discovered my purpose. I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of healthy connection and compassionate correction within families. My mission is to share this hope with caregivers, schools, and agencies so that children can heal and thrive.

Hope is what drives me every day, and my goal is to bring that same hope into your child’s life.
